Elephant in the room

“Mommy, Mommy! Come see, quickly!” Stacy screamed excitedly from her bedroom upstairs.
Her mother came bursting through the bedroom door thinking that something horrible has happened.
“What! What is it Stacey?” Her mother exclaimed breathlessly.
“I want you to meet my new friend, Ella the elephant” Stacey said with a huge grin and a sparkle in her eyes.
“Goodness, I thought something was wrong. Okay, so where is this Ella the elephant?” Her mother asked.
“She’s right her Mommy, in my room,” explained Stacey.
Her mother had a very puzzled look on her face. There really wasn’t an elephant in her room, not a stuffed animal or even a picture thereof.
“She sleeps in my cupboard at night and when I go to play school. She only comes out when I’m at home because she is very shy. But today Ella said that she wants to meet you,” Stacey elaborated in detail.
“Okay, honey, you and Ella have fun. Don’t do anything naughty now,” warned her mother.
Her mother trotted down the stairs whilst thinking to herself, goodness an elephant in her room, what next.
