What a jolly time of the year! Shop window displays are decorated in the most festive way; advertisements on television oozing with Christmas specials and savings; family get-togethers; planning weekends away and end-of-year staff parties. One just cannot resist the “season to be jolly.”It is so easy to get caught up in the most incredible hype for the festive season but we tend to forget the meaning behind it all. Not only is it the time to spend with family and loved ones, but it is also those who are less fortunate than we are. I can only begin to image the feeling that these people have during the festive season- not very festive is it?
So when you start planning your scrumptious Christmas lunch or relaxing holiday, take the time out and do something for the less fortunate- a little does go a long way.
