Two people came out of a building and into a story...

Angela, a 23 year old, assistant at one of New York's finest women magazines, finds herself at a dead end in her life. Work has become utterly frustrating and unchallenged, which is making Angela very unhappy.

"I have a degree in marketing and advertising but you think they'd notice, think they'd give me a little credit for it! I Guess not," expressed Angela to her colleague Katie. Katie and Angela have become really good friends in the past six months. Angela really cherishes their friendship- Katie seems to be the only one who truly understands her frustrations. "Don't worry Angie, you are destined for bigger and better things. See this job as a stepping stone in your career," Katie encouraged. "Well, see you in the morning all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed," joked Angela. And the two women went their separate ways.

Another boring and unchallenging day at the office, Angela thought to herself whilst taking the subway home. Angela enjoyed the subway as it gave her time to unwind and reflect on the day gone by, even though it was hardly a pleasant reflection. Angela constantly dreams for of becoming an editor-in-chief of a magazine- preferably her own- And finally being able to call the shots in her own life, where people play by her rules. "Phew... that dream better become a reality soon," Angela mumbled to herself.

Finally Angela arrived at her tiny one bedroom apartment, which she calls home. Exhausted from work Angela decided to plonk herself on her bed and watched her favourite television programme. Before Angela could change the channel she was fast asleep and was totally oblivious to her surroundings.

Suddenly the phone rings, startling Angela from her deep sleep. A ghost from her past has entered her life- her dad- who walked out on her and her family at the age of five.
Will Angela be able to cope with the stress of work and will she be able to reconcile with her dad?
