As much as this statement is true today has not been a good day for me, actually it hasn’t been a good week. The flu has really hit me with full force but I should find the silver lining to this. I should be grateful that I have access to medical attention as many people do not have access to such a ‘luxury.’
What makes every day a good day is when someone you don’t know smiles at you and out of nowhere your mood suddenly lifts. At work customers really make my day when they ask how you are, just that little bit of acknowledgement and recognition goes a long way. Even receiving compliments can make every day a good day. So don’t be shy to dish out a few compliments every now and then.
Every day is a good day because we are very fortunate people to have a roof over our heads, food in our stomachs and families who care about us. There are many people out there that would give an arm and a leg just to have those things that we so often take for granted. We have all the tools at our finger tips to be the best we can be and we should utilise it to the best of our abilities.
Even though it may seem that things are falling apart and that life is just throwing us way too many curve balls we should remind ourselves that there are people that are worse off than us.
So let’s be thankful for what we have and make every day a good day.

So true, so many times we do not realise what we have in our lives and our fortunate we are.
ReplyDeleteWe often take things for granted and do not realise that we are fortunate. We should be greatful that every night we have a bed and food to fill our bellies.
ReplyDeleteI always say, sometimes we just need a reminder of how lucky we are.
