Conventional is like a fullback position isn’t it?

I think there are two sides to this coin. But let us break this statement down a bit.
Conventional means following accepted customs, behaviour and principles.
A fullback position means to play in a defending position.
So does this mean that conventional people have to constantly justify their ways or beliefs? Well, I guess it does, but why question the norm if that is the only thing you know. In media studies our lecturer has taught us to question the conventional and open our minds to the unconventional.
But I still feel that even if you are conventional or unconventional you still need to play a fullback position. We should question the known and the unknown.
We all have to constantly justify our actions whether it is conventional or unconventional.
