Feelings follow behaviour

This is such a true statement. When you are hungry, you eat; when you are tired, you sleep and when you are sad, you cry. It is all feelings that we experience in our daily lives, which follow some sort of behaviour. But this does not mean that every feeling needs to be acted out such as, hatred, jealousy or anger. Those feelings are better left untouched. I’m not saying that one should keep those feelings bottled up, just be very careful of how those feeling make you behave- it can result in serious consequences.

It doesn’t matter what you are feeling just be aware of the consequences that follow your actions. Remember that actions speak louder than words.

It’s over…

The tears ran slowly down my face as I said goodbye to the love of my life.
As I was sitting on my bed, thinking about what my life would be like without him, the tears flowed like a river has just burst its bank. But it really was my own fault; I lost him through some bad choices and through my own stupidity.
Now I have to pick up the pieces and start all over again, goodness, the mere thought of that makes me sick to my stomach.
If I don’t start dealing with the fact that it is over then I never will.

It is amazing how things can turn so sour by a few poor choices… It really is going to take some time getting used to being on my own… It is time to let go.
I will forever miss you.
Goodbye…

It’s better to practise a little than to talk a lot

It boils down to practise what you preach and don’t be a hypocrite.
Talk about things that you are knowledgeable about instead of talking about things you don’t know just to sound intelligent.
What is the point in talking a lot when you don’t do anything about issues that affect you? It’s like blowing hot steam into the air, pretty pointless. It’s all about talking less and doing more.

It you are not going to say anything worth your while then rather keep quiet and save yourself the embarrassment. Nobody likes and hair-head floating around.
Sooner or later people would have caught your bluff and realised that you actually know nothing, but claim to be practising so much.

The more you practise the more reason you have to preach.

Winter

Winter sends howling winds,
Making it sound like it can sing.
Pouring rain, darkness all around,
Makes me want to sleep sound.
Bitter cold, numb hands and feet,
Feels like winter never is definitely taking a seat.
Snow capped mountains and roaring seas,
How it makes me quiver and flee.
Being under the blankets is the place to be,
Warm and cosy,
Dry and safe,
Winter makes us all want to hibernate.
Flooded roads and heavy rains,
Is there anything to gain in this domain?
Winter comes and goes,
But oh, how it always makes us moan.
Winter is here, it’s here to stay
But when the snow falls I’ll definitely bring out my sleigh.

Wedding cake-in-the-middle-of-the-road

“Hurry up! We are going to be late,” I shouted at my bridesmaids. “Is everything sorted?” I asked in a hurry. “We have one small problem…” Kirby said softly.
Oh goodness, what on earth could it be now again? After a year of planning everything down to the last detail, one would think that everything would run smoothly on the big day- guess not!
“I don’t want to know what it is this time but please sort it out. Actually wait, I do want to know what it is,” I mumbled. “Well… the wedding cake hasn’t been delivered to the reception yet because the caterer is stuck in traffic or something like that,” explained Kirby. “But don’t worry, nothing is going to ruin your special day,” she reassured me. “Sigh… Let’s be off then!” I said worryingly.

As much as I knew Kirby would handle things, I couldn’t help but worry about my cake.
On our way to the church we also hit a bit of traffic. Great, is there anything else I still need to endure today? “Hey, isn’t that the caterer’s truck up front?” I asked my bridesmaids. “Yeah it is, but he seems to be the one causing the traffic,” said Kirby. Kirby got out of the car to see what the problem was. She came back with a bleached face as if she saw a ghost. “What is it? Tell me!” I demanded. “Your… Its… Errr… I think you should go see for yourself,” Kirby said blankly. I took her advice and got out of the car to see what the commotion was about and there it was, my wedding cake-in-the-middle-off-the-road, ruined. I passed out.
